Fawaz Alhokair Group, Saudi Arabia

When the ban on cinemas in Saudia Arabia was lifted in 2018, FAHG set out to add cinemas to their Arabian Center Malls in KSA.

 

TBP were appointed to assist the group with creating KSA’s first home-grown cinema brand.  TBP developed the business plan and commercial strategy, created the brand and organisational structure and put together the team (including architects, MEP, Fit Out and Project Management) to deliver the first cinemas.

Blackpool City Council

New Multi-Media Centre in one of the UK’s most iconic tourist destinations, Blackpool, UK

 

Blackpool Council were seeking advice on how to boost their leisure offer for the city and regenerate the Houndshill Shopping Centre.

 

In 2019 TBP were engaged to carry out a full feasibility study on cinema and leisure that would bring a new offer to Blackpool whilst meeting future consumer demands.

TBP identified that some landlords, particularly of smaller developments, were struggling to secure a cinema tenant.

 

The TBP team decided to set up a new offer that could fulfil a developer's requirement for an anchor tenant enabling a developer to secure associated F&B and leisure for the overall development.

Leisure Offer, Oradea Shopping City, Romania

Oradea, in the North-West of Romania, is a thriving, competitive town with a population of over 180,000. Shopping Center Holding took control of a new retail and leisure building, opening it in October 2011.

TBP developed the business plan, commercial strategy and supported the site management team for the opening of a new cinema, bowling, and dining experience – the first of its kind in Oradea. A new brand was created. and the organisational structure put in place ready for the launch.

Franchise Management & Global Expansion

An authentic dumpling restaurant, capturing the essence of Shanghai's Long Tang alleys, John Chen and his family established New Shanghai in Australia in 1992. 

 

After an initial growth phase establishing the brand in Australia and China, with10 outlets, including a retail store, the family wanted to expand into the Middle East. It tasked TBP with assisting it in meeting local requirements whilst retaining its brand identity.

Antenna Group

Acquisition of Village Cinemas, Greece

Antenna Group (AG), Greece’s largest multimedia group, were considering adding Village Cinemas, Greece’s leading cinema chain, to their portfolio.

 

AG appointed TBP to carry out due diligence on Village Cinemas, Greece.  TBP undertook an intense 3-week period of investigation, presenting its detailed market, site and financial analysis to AG.

Leisure Offer, Romania

In 2010 Baneasa Developments was seeking to create a leisure offer at its prime shopping mall, Baneasa Shopping City.

 

Developing a new cinema brand and creating a dynamic management team recruited from the hospitality sector, TBP created the first part of the new leisure wing. The Euro 19m Grand Cinema became synonymous with innovation, using the cinema space for conferences, live shows,  product launches, fashion shows and more.
